Domaine Lucci
Domaine Lucci Cabernet Merlot - 2007
"This classic Bordeaux blend has been left on skins for some time after ferment built its solid structure. It has a savory nose with deep black current, bramble and liquorish aromas, the palate has the softness and roundness of merlot initially, and then it starts to build, with cassis characters sitting on fine sumptuous tannins persist endlessly."
Domaine Lucci Merlot - 2007
"She is a black inky wine without the trickery of new oak. I know there are lot of weedy merlots out there and this has given the variety a bad reputation. However, this is a truly noble variety and when done right merlot should be big and masculine, but still remain soft and delicate. Our Merlot fits this mould, it is more black than red, with intense blood plum flavours and nuisances of cinnamon, cardamom and aniseed. The palate is huge with persisting velvety tannins; these tannins are the rest place for this intensely big bodied wine. It is a beast!"
Domaine Lucci Pinot Noir - 2007
"The predominant clone in this pinot noir is MV6, which makes it deeply coloured and full of flavour. During ferment we had included some whole bunches which gives the wine texture and length with a slight sappy structure. It has a classic pinot nose of cherries, raspberries, gooseberries and wild flowers. It is full and sumptuous and like all our wines, it has a distinctive tight structure."
Domaine Lucci 'The Red' - 2007
"The red is a blend of four varieties to produce a Rhone styled wine that is spicy, rich, vibrant and rustic. We make this wine so everyone can afford a stylish wine. It is deep red and intense with mulberry, white pepper, star anise aromas and a spicy palate held together by leathery tannins."
Domaine Lucci Rose - 2007
"The rosé is fermented slowly over a couple months until it is dry (this rose is not sweet), makings the wine luscious, mouth filling and soft. Its blood orange colour is due to the blend of saignée from a number of varieties. Saignée is an age-old technique where juice is bled from the crushed grapes prior to fermenting. The result is a flavoursome rosé with unique rose petal and orange blossom aroma’s. This wine need to be order early before my wife consumes it during the hot Adelaide summers."
